Stretch Lame Foil can be worn in water and while swimming, but it is delicate, and does not stand up to rigorous washing.

STRETCH LAME FOIL 82% nylon / 18% spandex care instructions: cold water wash / low tumble or hang dry / no bleach. This is a "foil" heat set process used in this fabric. Using hot water in washing or heat in drying could damage the foil. Certain body perspiration can also cause loss of foil in some areas.
